Just wondering if all the squeaky noise in the cab with every little bump I hit is normal in the 3000 cab series? I got the steering wheel squeak sorted out with a washer but the cab itself really makes lots of squeaky sounds on every little bump I hit. Kind of annoying on a machine that cost so much hard earned money.

Hi,

Did you re-torque the cab mounting bolts as specified in the manual? I think it calls for that around the 15 or 20 hour mark.

I have heard wiping a silicone based lubricant (spray on rag, then wipe on) on all the door seals will help some of the noise.

That would make sense also will look for a silicone based lubricant that won't damage the seals.

Should not be having cab squeaks. Had JD 3720 and now 4520 but no cab squeaks. Try is isolate where the noise is. The door could be a common location and the door latch can be adjusted. Is is the mounting bolts? Something rubbing on the cab?

No squeaks here ----- 3720 cab tractor bought new in 2007. Wish I could help but the aforementioned suggestions sound like good ideas.

I should add that my door latches are adjusted such that the doors have to be slammed/pushed hard to latch.

My steering wheel squeaked badly, but that's since been fixed under warranty. Yours however sounds like door seals, but that's just a guess. You might see if tightening the latches helps. My cab is so air tight that I have to have the left door open before the right door will latch.

I have 20 hours on the machine now but seriously out of all the machines I have that hour meter is fast I am sure of it! I did the door test you guys just made me head out in the dark to the new shelter for the tractor and same thing here. I had to open the left door could not make the right door latch for the life of me.
Not sure where the cab bolts are that I guess should be retightend at 20 hours but will check the manual tonight. My seals all seem good cab just squeaks I think more at higher speeds when you hit bumps. This machine is new even checked the serial number on the motor the motor was built only 2 months ago. It can't be anything major maybe I am being to critical.
