There's a two wire socket at the rear of the frame that's not connected to anything.

It's got no power with the light switch in the OFF position
No power with the flashers ON
12V with the headlights ON
No power with the headlights and flashers ON

I've going to use it to power a rear facing LED flood that I'll use when moving snow at night, and possibly a forward facing light as the FEL kind of blocks the headlights, but I was wondering what JD intended it to power? Any ideas?

The connector is for rear mounted work lights. What you want to use the connector for is what Deere intended it to be used for.

This was the default rear work light JD offered for years for that socket. The socket does not provide power when the flashers are on because a white light on the rear is not allowed on the road, which is when your flashers would be on.

Thanks guys. Once you mention that a white light to the rear isn't allowed on the road it makes sense the way the switch works. :thumbsup:

I used two spade lug terminals to stick into the existing connector, but now I'll search for the correct connector.
