JD 413 Rotary Cutter opinions

Hi All,
Can anyone give me some feedback on the 413? I have a 20HP Yanmar (sorry guys : )) as well as a ZTR to do my grass cutting. I want to use the 413 to cut the thick pasture grass that surrounds my lawn area. What do you think? I don't have many trees (saplings) to cut down, or forest to reclaim, so I don't think the fact that it is light duty should be a big problem. Any one used one of these?

They are very light duty....I have a 513 bought it new and after about 2 weeks it was all bent to heck.....I had to do a lot of reinforcing and it is a good brush hog now....basically they will not take much abuse.

I had the same experience as Cactus, with my 513. For grass, they are great. If reinforced so you can back into brush, they are great.
Backing up, because they have a steel curtain across the back rather than a chain 'curtain', it can dig into the dirt a bit and get bent. If me, I would weld some support on a new one right away, before getting it bent up, making straightening it out more difficult. I trimmed the lower edge around the back with 1" square tubing, and that has made a good, rugged rotary cutter. The rest of the cutter is well built and I suspect you will like the 413 real well for the tasks you want to do.
