Does anyone have the lifting specs for the JD 420 loader? Can't seem to find anything on JDs web site.
Thanks
I have the 420 loader manual, but the specs it shows vary for each tractor model...it shows specs for 4200, 4300, 4400, and 855,870, and 955 models. Let me know which model you need specs for. I have the 420 on a 4210, the major specs for mine are:
Maximum lift height to pivot pin on loader frame 86.5 inches
Digging depth 6 inches
Lift capacity at max height at pivot pin on loader frame 1003 pounds, at bucket front edge 757 pounds. With pivot point at 59 inches from ground level, 1316 pounds, at bucket front edge, 1247 pounds.
Breakout force with bucket at ground level, at pivot point 2141 pounds force, at front edge of bucket, 1560 pounds force.
My 4210 weighs about 2700 pounds with oil and coolant, no fuel. Weight given does not include loader. I assume the specs given are for a properly ballasted tractor (wheel weights, loaded tires, etc) but the manual does not specify that or not. Hope this helps.
Thanks for that. I am looking at a 4300 so I am guessing that the specs for that machine will be very close to your 4210.
Thanks
Specs for the 4300 are higher as the hydraulic pump capacity is greater than my 4210. and I think larger front tire size is a factor.
To give examples, lift height at pivot pin is over an inch more, lift cap. at max. ht. is 1195 lbs at pivot pin instead of 1003 lbs, breakout force at pivot pin is 2693 lbs. instead of 2141 lbs. You are welcome, glad I could help.
So how does JD limit the lift for various tractors with the same loader. Is it just with hydraulic pressure, do they just dial down the relief or do they change cylinder sizes etc.
Does anyone have the wait for the 420 loader trying to determine the entire weight of my John Deere 4410 with a 420 loader and a 48 backhoe need this info to choose the right trailerDoes anyone have the lifting specs for the JD 420 loader? Can't seem to find anything on JDs web site.
