3-Point Hitch JD 4200 Post Hole Digger

Ive got a 2000 JD 4200. Im looking at buying a post hole digger from Tractor Supply. I am wondering if anyone knows if I can use CAT 1-2 post hole digger with a 42" auger with my tractor if I buy this.

I would think that would be no problem Just be careful not to corkscrew that big ole auger in the ground. I would recommend to operate digger at about 1000 engine rpm's.

Mybe I should clarify. I want to use a 12" auger that is 42" long. I was told that because my machine is smaller that I couldn't use a 42" long auger bacause the post hole digger wouldn't go high enough. Our building codes in NY for digging holes for a barn are 42" deep.

I would probably work but if it doesn't, TSC has a 30 day return policy. I've used it and their "hassle-free" claim is true.
