Can the buttons be taken off the switch? I have a laser engraver and engrave away the letters or symbols. Then fill that with paint.

I don't remember if the buttons come off or not from when I installed my mid pto. I know the whole switch comes out easy enough.

This is a good idea, or just machine your own. If you have a 3D plastic printer, you could print your own.
