I have Hydro JD 4310 with a 430 loader and I am having issues with the hydraulics. I took the loader off because I was using the mid mount mower. The hydraulics to raise and lower the mower deck worked fine and still do, as does the 3-point hydraulics. When I went to hook the loader back up, the hydraulics weren't working. I would get very little movedment.
I disconnected all the lines and reconnected. When I tried it, everything worked but I had a line reversed and when I pushed forward on the control lever, the loader raised instead of lowered. And when I pull back, the loader lowere. The dump and curl are fine. If I try reversing the lines so my raise and lower are correct, l lose all the hydraulics for the loader again.
I checked my fluids and actually just changed all the fluids and filters about a month ago, with only 5-6 hours on the machines since changing the fluids.
All ofhte hydraulics are working, even under load. The only issue I am having is with the loader.
Any ideas on what to look for?

Not had this problem so not sure but here is the loader hose connections.

I have recently bought brand new color coded endcap protectors. I need to install them. They help me keep the correct hose where it belongs.

Hope the above info helps you figure out what's going wrong.

Thanks. The above diagram is very helpful. Two of my hoses still have the color code caps but I need to get new color coded caps for the other hoses.
I think I still have a problem though, because when I switch the hoses, I lose all of my loader hydraulic functions for the loader.

maybe a joystick problem?

maybe a joystick problem?

That is what I originally thought until I hooked the mower deck back up and didn't have any issues with tha. I even tried connecting the hoses for the deck lift to the hydraulic lines for the lift cylinders and it functioned properly.
Now that I just typed that, it has me thinking maybe it is a hose on the loader causing the problem but I still don't understand why I lose all the functions when I switch the lines.

If I were the only one using the tractor, I would just adapt to the joystick having to be pushed to raise the loader. But my father-in-law uses it sometimes and I don't want him having a mishap.

Just covering possible problem.. be sure the quick-connects are seated well in the coupling. Sometimes they look seated, but are not quite.. and little to no oil passes through.

A good tool to have to check the lines out is a pressure gauge that you can plug (connect) into one line at a time and check the pressure. That will identify any joy stick (valve) problem that may have popped up.

Looks like this...

It sounds like a bad coupler on either the hoses or tractor.
