JD 850 & 4310
Noticed when I was sliding around in the snow today that the left front tire appeared to be the only one spinning. Just wondering if that was normal or not.

I've lifted up the front with the FEL before in 4WD and saw both wheels spinning so I'm assuming that the front axle works like the back axle only without a differential lock.

Thanks

It's normal, the front diff is "open", otherwise turning while in 4wd would be near impossible.

I figured it was normal but I thought that I would ask. I just got the 4310 last fall.

I had a JD 850 before this tractor and I can't remember if the front axle worked the same on that or not. I've slept since then.

Kenny, thanks for the hooks by the way. I put them on my Christmas list and my wife ordered them for me.
