Knowing John Deere's history, and figuring your over twenty years old I wouldn't worry about it. John Deere still supplies parts for some pretty old tractors. Actually I am not sure anyone even can put a date on how long parts will be available. Just go out and have fun. Now if there ever is a shortage of green paint you may run into trouble.

I know the older John Deeres..parts are available,but I did not know if JD would give the newer compacts the same kind of treatment as they do the bigger ag tractors etc. I use my JD 4400 pretty hard,but I also try to keep it in top shape mechanically and appearance..in appearance( albeit mud) I mean I replace or repair any cracked plastic parts. I hope to be able to keep the tractor for a long long time....unless I became rich,but I need the tractor and I need to use it as well.
