JD 4610 vs Kubota L4330

I just wanted to add that I didn't want anyone to take
offense at the end of my last post, that is not how it
was intended.

It's just that in my talking with other tractor owners and
potential owners over my daily activities, I do see people sort
of screw up their faces when one of the newer brands is
mentioned, Kioti, Branson, Century etc, and most of the
grey market tractors, yanmar, shibaura. The fact that you
can see the word Shibaura on the side of a New Holland and Yanmar
on the side of a JD if you hold the tractor up to the light
just right isn't known to most people out there.

Kioti especially is a fast growing brand it seems. I have
been dealing with Japanese auto parts since the 60s, when
there weren't many people that didn't make that same confused
face when someone said Toyota or Datsun.

I think only 30 years have passed since Kubota started bringing
in units here. I saw one, a mid 70s tractor that would make
the BX2200 look like a giant parked next to it.

If it hadn't been for those people who had an open mind back
then there wouldn't be much of a Kubota dealer network today.

Ditto with Datsun (Nissan is the parent company) Toyota
etc etc etc. Honda would still be building mainly cycles.

For many years I drove a Daihatsu, and this is in 68, LONG
before the company came over here in the 90s? and since left.

HEY, I WAS DRIVING A GRAY MARKET CAR!

COOL!

I appreciate the condolences, but I don't get what you mean, "in this league". The Kiotis offer tractors up to the DK65C which is a much more powerful tractor than a JD850 from what I was able to find out about it. Maybe I just didn't get it. Help me out. What league is that? No offense intended. John

What I meant is that I wasn't aware that Kioti sold a tractor in this country that is comparable to the JD 4610 or the Kubota L4330. If in fact they do I stand corrected. I only mentioned the JD 850 because that is the tractor he currently owns and he has been very happy with it.

( As to other brands, your dad probably knows that everyone
knows what a JD or Kubota or Ford and knows he won't have
to hear "What's That????" if he wants to sell it later ) Del, you're right. And that's exactly what they said about Kubota when it came here. I can remember a friend of my father's saying, "People who eat with sticks, shouldn't make tractors!" Here come the Kiotis. John

I plan to buy a NH next then I will have Green, Orange and Blue!
I previously tried to purchase a used JD955 but the resale value of those units in Oregon are still so high, even today, it made better sense to buy a new tractor at the time.
JD hit one out of the park with the 955-if they come up with another like it I will probably buy one as well!
