Can anyone tell me what the original equipment connectors were? I believe there was a male 3/4" quick connect and a female 3/4" quick connect, but I'm not sure. Oddly, mine had one Pioneer and one Parker. I can't quite imagine that one wasn't replaced at some point given the different brands.

Gary,
I can't see any compact using a 3/4". It would have to be a 3/8" or a 1/2".

Jerry's on the right track. Power beyond uses 1/2 inch, while the rest are 3/8 inch connectors....

It sounds like I may need to carefully measure the connections. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I just looked at the markings on the connectors on the Backhoe. There is a female marked " Parker 60 series H3 62 T8 USA " and a male marked " Pioneer 15P 3/4 16THD 17TG " and it was the "3/4" on the Pioneer that lead me to just assume that meant it was a 3/4" connector. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I don't have a quick reference guide handy to cross reference a Pioneer coupler but a Parker 60 series H3-62 is a 3/8" coupler.

If you want a good thread reference chart go to www.hydraulichosefittings.com . They are a TBN advertiser and also have a quick cross reference guide for everything except Pioneer. But most of the couplers I have gotten from them have been Pioneer. Go figure.

I just got off the phone with my area JD dealer's parts counter and, as much to their amazement as to mine, the two fittings ARE different sizes. As I told him, I'm kind of happy to hear him as surprised by that as I was. I guess I just assumed if there were two different brands and two different sized on there it was likely that at least one had been replaced at some point. As it turns out, at least the different sizes are OEM specifications. Go figure!

Probably to ensure that you plug the return line into the top (direct to reservoir) fitting and not into the three point feed.

That's probably a good idea for Deere to (what we call) "idiot-proof" it like they have. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
