JD 4720, loader bucket suddenly rises only half way (need Viagra)

The 400 CX loader on my 4720 Hydro suddenly will not raise further than 13" (of 26") of ram length. Hydraulic fluid is full and recently changed. I've owned the tractor for 10 yrs. and 1000+ hrs. Was hauling heavy stumps yesterday, by no means the heaviest load I've carried, when suddenly the loader acts as though it is fully extended, with RPM drop, when the rams are only half way extended. Can't raise anything up into my dump truck like this. Can't figure it out.

Within the 13" of travel, how is the power?

Haven't really tried any heavy lifts since malfunction, just some light branches. I have grapple attachment on the bucket, with electric diverter valve.

I'm sorry to learn of your flaccid loader. Pop your loader connections off and then back on.

Hard to "pop my loader connection" when the loader won't go up all the way. (sorry, couldn't resist) Thanks so much for the tip, works like a charm now. Hydrolock?

coupler just not seated correctly.

Seems to be a problem here although I have never personally experienced it. Usually the symptoms are a bit different. Working fine otherwise just half stroke of the cylinder dont sound like a common QC issue. But glad you got it fixed
