Price Check JD 48 backhoe pricing

What should I expect $ wise to purchase a 48 backhoe for my 4410? Any alternatives greatly appreciated. Your advise and guidance is welcomed. Your wisecracks are humorously excepted! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

It seems like I paid about $7K for the backhoe for my 4720.

It getting the wrong time of year for a deal. I bought a 48 in Dec 04 for $5700 with a heavy duty 18" bucket. They really did not want to store it, plus it was the last one. It also had some sun fade and dings. Plus they picked up and delivered tractor No Charge!

About 2 1/2 years ago I paid $6900 for the 48BH with 16" bucket. That's in eastern Massachusetts where there's not that much competition. But I'm glad I did - use it all the time. I thought about the 47BH, but my 4410 handles it just fine and I'm glad I have the extra length of the 48.

It's been a couple of weeks; but I saw 2 new ones (on the crates) listed at dealerships listed in www.MachineFinder.com. One in Penn. and the other in GA. Seems like $5K sticks in my head... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif AKfish

You know what? Mine was a 448, not a 48. I don't know what kind of difference there is in price or specs.

My name is Galen LaWall and I operate LaWall's Collision & Tractor & Implement in Batavia, NY. I saw your post and thought I would get you a price on a Wallenstein GX900 backhoe. The GX900 has a 6" depth advantage and a couple of hundred pound digging force advantage and is a little stouter than the JD 48 backhoe. It can be gotten in JD green and with many JD compatable sub frames. I will send you a PM.
