Yeah, 1 ton (3500) short bed, quad cab with a cummins with an auto. I had a F-250 PS before this dodge, and I am really loving it.

I suspect you have no trouble pulling the load with that.

I have an '04 F350 PS, similar configuration to your Dodge, like it a lot.

Any issues with turning radius with the goose-neck and the short bed?

( I bought a 5525 4wd cab on Friday - it rocks. I really like the 25 series - big, but not too big and enough power.

The ePTO is really cool.

5525 rocks, I am learning new stuff everytime I use it. I had to fly out of town this week, I will shoot pics this weekend. I plan on having both tractors out doing misc stuff.

No problems at all with it being a shortbed in regards to turning radius. People tell me that that is more of an issue with 5th wheels. I am rather pleased with my new Dodge.

Also, nice truck. That looks pretty much like my 2001 I had. I like the turn signals in the mirror option - really slick. I wish Dodge had backup sensors like the Ford. I would have considered a long bed then. The Dodge is much shorter overall than the Ford. With it being shorter and the better turning radius, the Dodge is much easier to drive in town.

Thanks, D.

You're so right about the turning radius, the front springs are just too close to the outer ends of the axle to allow for a tighter turn. The 2005's have coil springs even on the one tons and thus can turn much tighter, or so I've heard.

Begging everyone's pardon for this digression, but I've been readying my F350 for towing a 28 foot boat across country next week. All part of our relocation to South Carolina. Wow, what a job. I had to get a new hitch, the class III/IV wasn't close enough to do the job, can't really use a load equalizing hitch with surge brakes since you lose about 40% of your braking force. So, had to install a new Class V hitch, and will need to do some trailer maintenance too. I'll post more in a separate thread if I can figure out which sub-forum to post it on.

Back to tractors, D. I'll still be here and connected this weekend, so I'd be delighted to see those new photos if you have the time to take them.
