Local JD dealer here asking $97 for spin on hyd filter

Is that the going rate ?

My two older JD has a hyd cartridge filter about the same size & HALF that price lol

Yes , The threaded part is machined aluminum I guess that 's the money part of the filter.....

The Kubota hyd filters are 46.00 each it takes two.........So I guess 97.00 is not that bad ,but it still hurts......Can you cross it over to a wix/napa filter?

No it’s JD only.
Plastic housing best I can tell.

Outrageous what they charge for filters but when the dealer is your only option your at there mercy. That plastic filter can't be a hi pressure filter either which are usually more expensive . What about the trans fluid and engine oil , do you run the hi dollar jd branded ? I've got that 5115m coming in December and not sure if I will go w the jd fluids or not.

I’ve always ran the JD HyGard Fluid in all my tractors.

It stays the pretty gold color way longer than other fluids I’ve used on lesser equipment.
