JD 5115M Re-Gen light

I’ve had this tractor for 3yrs & never noticed any regen lights coming on but it uses a good bit of DEF so I know it’s regen as needed .

Have you guys seen this “A” exh temp light on before & revving engine up to 1200rpm ?

Mine did the other day for 30mins

My manual says it’s normal & raises rpm during the regen process.

Yes, light comes on and stays on until regen is complete. Normal.

My first regen I didn't get that light. Last one I did. Mine regens about every 200 hours. My soot level gets in the high 90% area and it will regen. I thought something was wrong last time when I got that light but as soon as the regen completed the light went away. It's funny how no one knows how the regen works on these tractors. I have done a ton of reading and research and ended up educating the JD tech that was working on my tractor early on. I think if JD would publish more info on the regen process it would help people understand. I worry a lot more about the EGR system than I do about the DPF/DEF system.

So true. I don’t think my dash lights up for every regen.

This is the only time I’ve noticed it coming on.

I'm not sure about your specific tractor, but at semi trucks, that light comes on below a certain speed during regen. To warn the driver from hot exhaust components.

Keep an eye on it. It could be similar with your tractor.
