Oil & Fuel JD 5205 O-Ring

Hey everyone, been looking at this site for a while and decided to post my question up here.

I recently had to bleed my fuel system, and in the process I had to remove the fuel line going into my injector. Well, when I tried putting the line back I tightened it up and then pumped it some more and the fuel came shooting out around the pipe through the center of the bolt. I took it off and inside the bolt I found a shredded o-ring

. Does anyone know what kind of o-ring i need to replace it?

Here's a sealing washer part # R51936 for the return line. I didn't see any sealing washers for inj lines.

Actually.. After looking at it more, I'm not sure if it is an o-ring or not. It needs one, but I'm not sure if it is the source of the problem. The line doesn't seem to hold its place. Please look at the below video.

As they say a video is worth a 1000 words. This I think is the sealing washer for that line part # R74012

The R74012 is correct as TxJim states. It is a square packing that fits in the nut to seal the line when tightened.

Well, just got the part in (had to order from local john deere store, was out of stock). I put it on, got the fuel through the lines and most of the air out. I turned the ignition, took a while for it to start- getting remaining air out. Well, what I discovered was, what I thought to be from more air in the lines so I revved it up to 2kRPM and let it sit for 5 minutes and the problem still persists. The engine cannot maintain an RPM. Please look at the video below. I am about to take her to the gas station and fill her up and then put in some JD Fuel additive to see if this helps.

A couple questions, why did you have to bleed the system in the first place? I looked at the manual for 5205 on the JD web-site on how to bleed your tractor (manual URL included). First step is to fill the tank and it does not show a need to loosen the nut you needed the o-ring for. Other then not filling the tank did you follow the other steps in the manual?

The step I did was not in the manual, but from past experience I do it now. Never had anything bad happen, this time it just seemed to be a bad sealing washer. Now, if you saw the video, the engine cannot seem to hold an RPM. Tomorrow I am going to go get a new fuel filter- but I doubt that is the problem..
