JD 5210 How To Remove Tie Rod?

I am trying to separate the tie rod from the knuckle on the MFWD swivel housing of my 5210, so that I can replace the boot. I have the nut loose. I tired hitting hard with a big hammer the knuckle to break things loose, with no luck. I have jacking up the tie rod a little and then hit the knuckle with the hammer, no luck. I tired using two hammers holding one on one side and hitting with the other on the other side. I do not have fork big enough. I have tired jack up the axle if maybe the tire was binding anything up. The repair manual did not provide any suggestions. I currently have them sprayed with penetrating oil.

Any suggestion on how to remove the tie rod would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hammers have always worked for me, might have to hit it real hard helps to have pressure on tie rod in the direction it needs to go to come off

A hammer has always work for me also. Like magic with a little down pressure on the tie rod and smack the casting in the direction indicated in the picture.
That would be the strongest (for not cracking the casting) direction to hit it.

Then again, you do risk shattering the casting... so calculate the risk and consider the options.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ordered a pickle fork on Sunday, should be here in the next few days.
