JD 530 baler problems

Baler was working fine. Tried to adjust to make a smaller bale. Now it wants to make mini-sausage bales. What needs to be adjusted? Thanks

Sounds as if twine pump linkage is not re-latching hook(parts key 45) when tailgate closes. Are all five springs intact?

Thanks! Will give that a try. It seems that my baler only has three springs but definitely worth checking out

What model tractor? Have you doubled checked quick disconnects to be sure they're connected correctly? Is gate lock valve "fully unlocked"?????
