My front wheels will not engage to 4wh drive and I have replace the switch. Can anyone tell me where the silinoid switch is loacated?

the solenoid is located in the side of the drop box where it comes down and out of the transmission housing (where the driveshaft starts)

what should I remove to be able to see the solenoid and can I check to see if it is okay?
