I have a problem that doesn't make sense to me and I can't find a electrical diagram. I have have a power reverser that will not move unless I but the pto on. I searched the forum and didn't find the same problem. I can't be the only one with this kind of problem
Here is what I have, turn the key on and all the lights and peepers and rpm swings all the way and will start but the Power reverser will not let her go forward or backwards. The only light on the dash is the 4 WD light is on and can't be trued off. there is no RPM or N light work ing. The other gauges seem to work. I checked all the fuses and they are good. All the working lights and flashers work.
So then when I take the pto lever off the stop position and the RPM and N lights come on allowing me to move as normal as long as it thinks the PTO is engaged. lf I turn the PTO off the tractors stops moving and the 4wd light comes on and no RPM reading. I also noted that it will allow me to start the tractor with it in gear and off the seat. it will not move but it does start as if the clutch was in as with the older tractor. I don't know how the Power Reverser works but the clutch is in as it will not go until I start to engage the pto. the PTO is not engaged just off the off notch and the pto is not turning.
In trouble shooting the problem I don't know where to look. I pull the dash back so I could bet to the wires but there is so many wires and connecters and one time the 4WD went out so I thought it was just loose wire. But the problem came back and no amount of wiggling or moving will turn if off.
I needed to cut some hay so I hocked up the mower and it worked just fine with it fully engaged. I hope someone has some ideas
