I keep getting an exhaust pressure sensor fault on my 6125r. This started about a year ago. My dad would excessively idle the tractor and the exhaust filter would get dirty. I cleaned it a few times over the next months but now it's no longer self cleaning and won't let me manually run the exhaust cleaner. Now I'm getting the exhaust pressure sensor fault a bunch and I need to do something about this.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Is this something I can fix myself or will I have to take it to the dealer?

Thanks in advance for your help

I think you might need a dealer to assist you.

There is a mechanic that has a channel on you tube and he works on a lot of 6 series Deere’s.
It might be worth trying to ask him, I know he reads and responds to a fair number of questions thru the comments sections.

The R is a pretty new series, right? Any chance that it's still under warranty?

Idling is the killer #1 for a DPF filter. If your parked REGENs won't change the situation anymore, it's likely the dealer has to take the system apart and the filter has to be cleaned of it's ashes which were produced in the REGEN cycles. It's like cleaning the ash tray in your stove.
The cleaning is done in a machine, that can also measure the overall condition of the filter. It might run multiple cleaning cycles while in there. It's also called " baking the filter".

The ECM may have to be reset by the dealer to indicate a cleaned filter to the ECM.

These are procedures that I gathered from truck engines but might as well apply to Offroad Equipment.
