JD 6210 Three Point Hitch slow

I have an open station 1999 JD 6210 with a 640 FEL. The FEL operates normally as well as the cylinders on my grader blade. The three point hitch raises normally (when using the "up" button). However, it is very slow and unresponsive when I try to lower or make height adjustments to a 3 pt implement (even a fairly heavy grader blade).

Any help would be appreciated.

You know there is the speed control pot under the little flip up cover? Does it work?

Two pots. One controls speed (can't remember if it's up and down or just down) and the other controls maximum height.

Not sure about the draft control knob. Never did figure that one out. Just turn it off CCW until it clicks.

Yes. I had checked that and the speed control pot was set to the highest setting. I will double check just to make sure.

Try it the other direction. Maybe the pot is bad. Sometimes just working a pot back and forth will restore operation. If not, some good zero-residue cleaner might help if you can get at the wiper inside. Sometimes if a pot is sealed, you can drill a tiny hole to spray in the cleaner. JD probalby wants enough money for a new pot.
