jd 640 loader joystick icv switch not working

A few years back, my 6420 had electronic armrest joystick problems and it cost $1500 to replace it. Now it will do the tilt function but not raise and lower. I see the price on the unit is now $2,229. I'm betting that a $10 part is the problem. Anyone have this problem and were able to solve it. I haven't torn the unit open yet to see if there are any burnt or broken wires.
