If you still can not get Error codes, check the following:
On the valve housing for the power quad:

1 Connections to the Solinoids (both Forward and Reverse) disconnect them, look for corrosion.
2 Test the Solinoids with an OHM meter. Not sure how many OHMs, but you want to see continuity, NOT an open coil.
3 Connector for Enable Pressure Switch
4 Not sure how to test, but Enable Pressure Switch "tells" the RCU the system has oil pressure
5 Broken or rodent chewed wires

There is an Enable Solinoid. If the RCU detects an Error it closes this solinoid, which will stop oil flow and prevent movement.

ok,sorry I haven't had time for this,wife had some surgery. Nothing as far as codes..key off,put in 115= Bif,cycle TS lever,BCU,again,HCU,again,RCU,FTP,= nothing. Verified this 4 or 5 times, Removed 115,unhooked battery for awhile,ran tractor tried reverser 15 or 20 times, no codes,anywhere. Can't get ANY 00 rcu or 01 rcu,,nothing. So back to basics,I THINK the park switch is working ,I can here it cycling in the reverser,I THINK the reverser IS working,,I can here it sending signal to the relays. Where are the power quad solenoids? I CANNOT see this as new junk having ANY broken wires or really even corroded. But stranger things have happened. I am sorry to have not figured this out yet,but as said before. My " local dealers" answer was order a new reverser switch @ $ 811. I don't think so! Thanx again fellas.

Ok,back to basics,,Zebra,jd110,thank you so much again..I have no codes,is there a service manual available online? I don't wanna be 'guessing ' all around this steaming heap. What is my next move? That valve that shuts everything down to do with hydraulics? 110,what fuse did you say could stop me from pulling codes? Where were those wires that could be broke,which I doubt. I need this tractor going,off to the hospital again today though..

I don't think there is an online tech manual. JD SELLS two service manuals in both paper and CD versions. CDs are less than paper version. They are : TM4572 Operation & Test, and TM4574 Repair.

I never asked what transmission you have. I assumed PowrQuad w/ Electric Reverser, Correct? Or PowrQuad Plus or AutoQuad?

Also do you have the Performance Monitor? It can be used to pull codes too.

Back to basics:

Fuses. I think JD110 meant F201. Since fuses are easy to check, check the following: F111, F114, F201, F202, F203, F204, F205 (some you may not have depending your options)

Diodes: V105 Power supply to electronics, V202 Electrical reverser control and V203 Engine control unit. I doubt these are bad. To test remove, use an OHM meter to check for current flow in ony one direction. Or a test light and battery could be used. connected one direction light should light, reversed it should not light.

Relays: K101 power supply to electonics, K210 Reverse relay, K211 Forward relay, K212 Not-neutral relay, and K213 Latch relay.

The way I would test these relays is detemine what Work Lights are power thru relay K205 or K206. Then one at a time swap each relay listed above with K205 or K206 and see if the Work Lights will power ON.

You said you can hear relay(s) clicking. Have you IDed which one(s)? That would help!!!

Solinoids: Three under the tractor bottom of PowrQuad. Front to rear: Reverse, has Purple and Black wires harness side of connector. Forward, has Light Blue and Black wires harness side of connector. Enable, has Gray and Black wires Harness side of connector. Disconnect ONE AT A TIME check connection for corrosion. Use an OHM meter to check the solinoid should be about 12 OHMs. Put a test light across the harness side connectors. That is to test Forward, test light will go from Light blue to Black. Shift Reverser lever to Forward and test light should come on. DO NOT BE UNDER TRACTOR!!! Run wires to where you can see the light or have a helper monitor the light from a SAFE place. Enable should power the light if OK in either direction.

If after testing Fuses, Relays, Connections, and Solinoids and still not working, I would change the Enable Pressure Switch, Its by the Reverse Solinoid. I agree park switch probably not the problem.

Thanx a Million Zebra!! Yes,it is a 16 spd power quad w electric reverser,,I stated earlier in the post which Diodes are working.I Can't remember off hand! 210,I believe is the one clicking the hardest.

K210 is the Reverse Relay.
Not sure why this relay would be chattering.
Here's a couple of tests you can try:
TEST 1
Key OFF
Pull the K210 Relay. (Reverse Relay)
In the fuse panel where the relay was look at the pattern of the terminals the relay plugged into:
First row ONE terminal number 30
Second row ONE terminal number 87
Third row THREE terminals numbers 86 87A 85
-- 30 --
-- 87 --
86 87A 85

Hookup a volt meter from 86 to 85. LEAVE RELAY OUT
Start the tractor, take out of PARK. Check voltage. Try reverse and check voltage.
What voltage did you get? Did it change when in reverse? Vary in reverse?

TEST 2
Key OFF
Pull Relay K210. (Revrese Relay)
Put a jumper wire from terminal 30 to terminal 87 LEAVE RELAY OUT
Start tractor, take out of PARK, try reverse.

Post your results.

Sorry I haven't posted back here guys... Alot has went on here,,TONS of sickness in the family and Hospice coming in for my Dad. This POS tractor bein the least of my problems.. Despite REALLY needing it! I Will hopefully get to it sooner than later. And report results. Thanx again Zebra and all !
