JD 6430 Premium SCV and ICV errors

Hi all,

I have a John Deere 6430 premium tractor with loader and electronic joystick w/paddle and electronic SCV controls.

I am having lots of trouble with the loader and SCV’s.

I get errors on the screen for SCV I, SCV II, ICV I, ICV II, ICV III. It is always a Sic 34 error with the following codes:

523828.09, 523829.09, 523827.09, 523825.09, 523819.09

The problems have been intermittent but are getting worse. There is a little bus terminator plug right by the windshield washer bin behind the right steps. We changed this and it seemed to work better for a while. If we unplug this little plug the hydraulics will work in little bursts. Plug it in and it works sometimes, sometimes not at all.

Thank you all so much for taking a look! Our farm is 3 hours from the nearest dealer so it is very expensive to have this tractor looked at!

Ok, I think I've figured this out. The bottom sensor in the valve block for the loader was full of hydraulic fluid. It looks like maybe its leaking through the sensor and into the electrical connections? I cleaned it all out, reset the ECU and everything works perfectly.

So my question is, what is this sensor so I can order a new one? I'm guessing I'll have to have the dealer configure it next time they are down this way but I'd like to have it on hand. I've attached a pic, its the bottom sensor with the oil dripping out of it. Any guidance on what the sensor is would be great!

I think what you are calling a sensor is the motor that operates the valve spool.

Yes that’s exactly it! It lookEd like the little control port that the wire plugged into could unscrew and be replaced independently of the entire motor assembly. Maybe not.

Did you replace AL219124 stepper motor? ($828.07usd) and did it solve the issue?

Hi Doug, actually we didn't. We drilled a small hole in the bottom of the plastic where the plug attaches so it could drain. That did the trick and it was free.
