The Maschio-Frontier tillers are of the same quality as the JD/Howard tillers. The gear drive Frontier is a good tiller. All of the tiller technology comes from Europe. This is not something new, for 50+ years tillers have not changed much. Many of the tillers sold in the USA are dumbed down versions of the tillers sold in Europe. The average compact tractor owner in the USA uses a tiller less than 4 hours a year. You can purchase the same Maschio tiller for 50-60% of the price that Frontier wants for their tiller at the Deere dealership. If the rebranded tiller was 10-20% more then I could see the value in that you might want a green tiller. The price difference is too much. There are just too many places that would sell you a quality tiller for a better price than $3,500 for a Frontier RT1370.
Take for instance our CCM MR175 Gear Drive 66" tiller is $1450 and has a 70 HP transmission, 6 tines per flange and weighs 75 LBS more than the Maschio/Frontier RT1370. We even offer $0 down financing.
