JD 71 vegetable hopper

Anyone know anything about this? How does it mount onto the planter? Straight up and down like the regular hopper? Or at a 45 degree angle like the 33? Is the veg. hop. for the 71 essentially the same thing as the one for the 33? I understand that it takes the same plates, is that true? Are there any pictures of a 71 with a veg. hop. attached? Any help is appreciated.

Here is a page from the 71 manual with a picture of the vegetable hopper attachment. Someone, last summer, posted a picture of his modified fiberglass hopper. He fastened a smaller can (coffee can maybe ??) inside the large hopper so that he did not waste any seed. I search quickly but could not find his post.

Thanks for all that. I'm still confused though. I just bought a 71 and am looking at a veg. hopper. The page from the manual that you show has a gear box that I can't find, though. Is there a separate--and extra--gear box for the veg. hopper?
