JD 790 Weldable Bucket Hooks

I recently installed 2 - 5/16 G70 hooks from AW Direct Weld-On Grab Hook - Grade 70 - 5/16" - Mfg# 11-516WGH welded in-line with the lift cylinders ( thanks for the advise ) and one "D" ring welded in the center of the bucket.

I used a 2" x 3" 1/4 inch angle iron for the mounting plate and 3" x 1/4" strap for a backer plate. With 1" 3/4 X 1/2" grade 5 bolts- to hold the mounting and backer plates together.

Note: "D" ring is in the upright position while the paint drys- Please dont laugh at my welds- Ok it allright to laugh. Once it warms up I will paint the bucket

Nice job I've also welded hook on my bucket I welded c-channel as a base / stiffener and then welded hook to that

I find that with my forks I use the hook less than I used to still a very useful tool
