Can any other 790 owners confirm the size of the rear lugs on the 790. Using my american sockets I find the size somewhere between 1" and 1 1/16" which I figure to be 26 millimeters.

I was hoping to find a tire iron I could use but have not been able to find one. I guess I will need to get a 3/4 drive ratchet and the appropriate size socket.

Any help on what other 790 owners are doing would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I ran into the same problem....good thing I have a guy a couple of doors down with a 1" standard & metric set. good luck with a 4 way tire iron...got two and not a fit on both of them. Can't remember but I think my 3/4" socket set's largest metric set is 26 and it don't fit. I think what I used was a 1 1/8" and it still had a little slop but did the trick with out brusing the lug head

Whiskey, thanks for the reply, I wish I had your neigbors /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

A new tool store has opened up by us recently and I visited with the owner the other day, I think he will probably let me get several sockets and return what doesn't fit.

Anytime, good to hear your keeping up with the lug's. I never had much of a problem with the back lug's, but the front were loose alot the first couple of months I owned my 790. Great little tractor huh? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
