I have had no luck finding any specs for the model 80 farm loader used on the JD850 tractor. Does anyone have any kind of specs handy for this loader or can you point me in the right direction?

thanks:)

I bet JD755 does-he seems to have all the older literature up his sleeve:thumbsup:

I'll look but that may be something I do not have.

I was wrong. I did have specs for the 80 loader, although the lift capacities are based on the 70 series tractors. Capacity on your 850 may be different but probably pretty similar to the 870.

Thanks JD755.
I am assuming those lifting specs are at the bucket pin at max height?

I used to have an 850 with an 80 loader. If I remember correctly the lift capacity was around 950 pounds and the bucket breakout curl force was like 1300 pounds. I cannot recall the lift height, but probably around 7 1/2 feet.

Oops! Started this reply before the other posts! I was not real far off though!

I compared the numbers from other JD data for the 60 and 70/70A loaders at max height and they all agree with this data. So yes, the specs for the 80 are at max height.

Whoops ..more questions. The specs are different for various tractors now what do they change for the load specs. Are the pressures different, are the cylinders different or is that just a recommended lifting capacity?

Usually some combination of hydraulic ability and tractor weight. In this case all three tractors have the same 2250 psi pressure. The 870 and 970 have a flow capacity of 8.1 gpm and the 1070 is 8.4 gpm. With MFWD the 870 weighs 2670 pounds, the 970 is 3045 pounds, and the 1070 is 3265 pounds. Since the loader rating with the 1070 is slightly less than the 970, I can't make a definitive call. Somebody else can probably provide more detail on how Deere decides their ratings.
