Thanks to all,
I have the tiger stripes on the 950 decal, the foward mounted grill intake screens and the live PTO. After a talk with the local JD dealer, they say there wasn't anyother place on the tractor where I would find the SN. I did look for a tag on the bell housing and something stamped into the transmission, nothing there but casting #'s. Looks like I have between a 84 and a 89 with late features. The parts person will try to nail it down closer with the SN of the engine. Thanks again for the help,
