The JD#7 hoe fits the 955 and is a good match. It is wonderful for doing small excavating work, especially in tight quarters. It doesn't have a lot of power though so it is slow going if you have to dig out tree roots.

Did you ever check your hoe's relief valve setting? The 955 delivers an
excellent 2500 psi, and an OK flow of about 7 or so GPM. Even that 7 hoe
should have no problem dragging the tractor around.

No, can't say that I did (but might have). So I might have been giving some away. It could move the tractor around, but that's a big part of the problem...the tractor isn't heavy enough so much of what you want to dig up becomes an anchor point to move the tractor

Does anybody know where I can find new or used tires for my model 770 J.D. tractor with a tire size of 11 x 17. The tire manufacture on the tires I have now is Firestone, but I cannot seem to be able to find this particular size. They are ag tires on the rear. I appreciate any info I can get.

That's great. You guys are awesome. I will be asking for advice on many things in the future. I'll post some pix up when I get the tractor home next weekend.
