JD B and L306 mower?

I have about 5.5 acres of thick pasture grass and am looking at purchasing a L306 Woods mower with a John Deere B. Does anyone have experience using either/both of these. What is reasonable to spend on this?

That is a Woods finish mower model isn't it? Some might have difficulty with operating the clutch but if the field is open you only need to get nervous around the edges!

The deere does not have a live PTO. The PTO will stop when you pull the clutch back. Like said, will be ok out in the open but if you hit a heavy spot there could be problems.

It will work once you learn the tricks.
