Yep I am going to school right now to be a JD tech, and I have worked at various dealers while in high school and now at college. What part of MN are you from? What kind of work do you use your 990 for mostly?

I'm from around Cannon Falls area and use the 990 for mowing and in the winter clearing the driveway. What do you use your 955 for? And are you in your first year of college? I am a senior in high school.

I use my 955 for mowing during the summer, and it sits in the garage all winter waiting for summer again. I am on my second year of school, with about 4 months left. Do you have a mid mount mower on your 990 or 3pt mower, and what size is it?

I've got a JD 272 rear mount mower which is 72''. Looks by the pic you provided of your tractor you have a 72'' mid. Those are great mower decks. So the JD tech school is a 2 year program. We have one kid about your age going through the same program in Iowa right now. He comes to work on equipment during the summer.

I am going to North East Iowa community college, I am sure that is where your guy is going to school as well. He must be a first year student cause I am pretty sure none of the guys in my class are sponsored by your dealership. What made you buy the 272 3pt mount mower instead of the 72" mid mount mower on your 990? I love my mid mount mower, I wouldnt trade it for any rear 3pt mounted mower. You all ways have to look behind with the 272, it must strain your back some what?
