JD dealer doesn't stock 2000 series

Like everybody else has mentioned the 2000 series is a popular size, and for good reason. I have one - albeit in Kubota. I would imagine that your dealer is sold out of the 2000 and might be having a difficult time getting them in so he is steering you towards something else. Look around - don't settle for something that is not what you want.

I agree on two points here...
1) The 2520 is a capable machine. I was considering one in the 2305 size, but the promos last sporting were good enough to make the new 2520 chapter than the 2320 with the same implements. Throw in 0% and it was a no-brainer. I mow with mine (one acre) but I also use the loader a lot. I move pallets of firewood with my forks and the higher capacity pump makes a huge difference there compared to the 2320.
2) Dealers stock what they sell. If that dealer doesn't have much call for the 2x20 machines, they won't keep stock on them.
If you have other dealers that are fairly close and they stock the machine you want, buy from then instead. Yeah, it's all green, but they will have more experience setting up and maintaining the tractor you end up with.

I would go somewhere and look one over, and try it out if they'd let you. Then go back to your dealer and get a quote. He can order you one in right?
