Thanks Mike 223,
I'll will be driving down in a few days to talk with them. My trailer will be delivered on Thursday so I've taken my first step to buying the tractor, no turning back now!!!!!
What is really comparable to the JD 2520, FEL, RFM, BB, rotary mower as far a Kubota is concerned? That way I can get my quotes for an "apples to apple" comparison-

sbt,
Man, I don't know. I've been concentrating on the 40-50 HP models from the Mahindra to the big 3, and all of those in between. If you want my opinions based on limited experiences with the Kubota M4800, MX5000, and Grand L 5030, I can tell you what I like/dislike as compared to the Deere 4320, 990, and the New Holland TC45A and DA, as well as the Kioti DK45/55. I have yet to get to the Massey Ferguson dealer to check out the 1500 series drive/comfort wise, but I'll probably be doing that soon. My overall impression of the Kubota v. all the rest is that they make their power through displacement and normal aspiration, the engines are quieter and smoother, and they seem to be bulletproof, as far as anything made by man can be. I like the Deere and New Holland ergonomics, and the price on the Mahindra for what you get. The Kioti didn't impress me, especially when comparing prices to the others. Case is basically a red version of NH, both made by Shibaura, both good machines, so I haven't checked them out. That leaves Massey. I'll rectify that soon.

Bottom line, if you like the Deere product, and you like the dealer support, then get the Deere. From what I've seen, and given my limited experience, I'd say they're great machines, and I still haven't made my final selection. Sure glad this isn't "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire", 'cause I'd most definitely lose.

Talked to a salesman over the phone today from Greensouth, he was pretty decent. I was verifying their inventory and checking business hours. He quoted me over the phone (I know, I hate "over the phone" quotes too!!!!):
JD 2520 $13,500
200CX $2900
5' Box blade $600
5' rotary cuter $ 1300
5' rear discharge finish mower $2650
Implements JD or Frontier brand

Some of the prices were high but they are open tomorrow and I will get a "face to face" quote.

If you know the equivalent Kubota or NH tractor, you might want to stop and get a quote before you go to GreenSouth, it might get them to come down some. I wish I could be more help in that department. Good Luck!

Drove down and talked to the salesman that I spoke to on the phone. Down to earth kinda guy, not a typical salesman. The written quote I feel was pretty fair, the 200cx loader was near list though. The drive down was a PITA-city traffic, I now understand "road rage", ever hear of a turn signal? Worth the drive despite the non driving "city slickers" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I may "pull the trigger" if we can work on the loader price. I'll see what we can work out. I do not plan on nickel and diming the salesman.
