JD drink holder on JD 4100 & moving clip

I saw a picture of someone's ("kennyd"('s) ?? ) 4110 with a JD cup holder on their fender and decided to do the same. I put the cup holder in the same spot on the right-hand fender, but had to remove the seatbelt holder/clip (where you put the seatbelt when it is not in use). In the picture I saw, the person moved the seatbelt clip to one of the bolts that holds the ROPS on and I thought "what a good idea !". However, I cannot loosen that bolt to save my life and before I dig out the impact wrench, I figured I would throw this out to the TBN gallery.......has anyone else done this or am I being stupid to remove a ROPS bolt to move this seatbelt clip ? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It was probobly mine that you saw. The bolt is tight, but did come out. I had to ream out the hole of the clip a little to get the ROPS bolt through it.

I was just thinking of putting that same cup holder on my 990 for a Gatorade bottle. My 4300 had a cup holder but the only thing that would fit was a can of pop not a bottle. How useless in the summer mowing and get dust in your pop. That cupholder that you are getting is the same ones used on the JD line of Garden tractors and it is adhesive so it could stick anywhere then you don't have to remove any bolts.

So, bolt removal is necessary

Ah, I see now. Well, use a breaker bar and get it off!
