Price Check JD F1145 USED PRICE

Guys,

I have 3 acres to mow and have come across a used JD F1145.

72" front deck...3 cyl diesel engine...4wd...420 hrs...good condition...not sure of the year, but 420 hrs, that's nothing on a diesel.

What is a good price for this type of machine? Guy is asking $8,000. Any replys will be appreciated.

That is a front mower with the components of a CUT. I'm not sure of the resale market, as it is kind of an orphan in that price range, but checking on machineryfinder.com there was a 1999 with 569 hrs listed at $10,700. I'm thinking that might be a pretty good deal. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

At 8K jump on it. I've yet to see a machine of that type and age for less than 10K.

Thanks for the responces. The guy has been trying to sell for several months with no takers. He told me that if it does not sell in the next week or so; that he would consider taking less than that. This kind of unit is usually needed by a particular type of person or company. Not everyone wants one that size or the front mounted type mowers.

JDFANATIC: Why would that unit be considered an orphin? Or are you saying that you just don't see that kind of mower in that price range.

I used the term orphan because that tractor cost as much as a comparable CUT when new. Although it does take some attachments, it is primarily a mowing machine. Resale is only as good as someone wants to pay for it; most people in the market for a machine of that price range would be swayed to a CUT for the versatility of attachments. But when it comes time to gobble up lawn, there are few machines that will stay up with the F1145 -- especially when the tractive advantages of 4WD are factored in. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
