JD F911 Fan Belt Issue

I noticed my JD F911 front mount mower heating up today and after it cooled down I discovered that the fan belt had come off. I was able to get it back on but it still seems loose. I can't see a way to tighten it and wondering if someone here has the information as I am unable to find anything on the internet so far. This has the Kawasaki horizontal shaft engine on it.

I don’t know anything about that mower, but generally a fan belt is tightened by loosening the alternator, then moving the alternator until the belt is tighter, and the re-tighten the alternator in that position.

It’s possible that your fan belt is stretched; maybe that’s why it came off.

Suspect shims in the driving pulley to get the belt tight. Should show in the manual.

A good pic of the belt and the lower pulley would help with suggestions if the manual is not any help.

sounds like time to replace, dealer item would be my 1st choice. i also use this supplier for kevlar reinforced belts on mowers. good luck
