When I step on clutch noise stops. What is it?

Did you get this figured out? Mine is doing the same thing, a horrible grinding sound that stops once the clutch is pushed in.

OK guys possible problems could include bad belt, bad idler pulley, or something going goofy with the tranny, but I would bet on a bad idler pulley.

Thanks! After a lot more reading, I am hoping it's the idler pulley also. :scratchchin:
