Loader JD loader published lifting capacities..

..are they under rated slightly(can lift more with diminished performance) or is the stated rating truly all it will do?

Have you guys lifted more than it’s stated capacity?


I’m looking at a 4052R cab with a 440R loader and just kind of curious if this tractor/loader will do the required chores.

I expect it to meet spec new.

With age almost everything has diminished ability.

Yes, and even exceeded that after 23 years since new.
Be sure to have enough ballast to counter the FEL load..

Pallets of shingles and also feed sacks on pallets.

This is a pic of mine lifting more than it’s rated capacity. How much more, not sure, the load is on forks which puts weight further out but its also curled back. This is also all the higher it would go, probably 2/3 of being all the way up. How often do you need to lift something all the way? Most the time I don’t need to lift to full height.
