What I have discovered is that what every man who gets into tractors and implements needs is a 3/4 drive or a 1" drive socket set.
I've got a 1/2" drive which I can get by with but I often find myself in many a situation where I need bigger sockets than I can get with the 1/2" drive (and I have the largest you can get with 1/2").
My recommendation is to get a good 3/4 or 1" drive set along with some oversized sockets that don't come in the set. Good 3/4 sets are VERY expensive and I can't find them at Sears in my area.
As I am a casual user rather than a mechanic I'm going to go with the cheaper sets. If I could order from Harbor Freight, this is what I'd get along with this set of jumbo sockets of sizes larger than the set has.
If my wife got me these two for Christmas, I'd be overwhelmed with joy!
