JD painting

I was preping a new LT 180 for delivery today when I opened the hood to find uncovered yellow primer around the engine and under the seat by the seat slide rails. This is the second JD this week that has come in with bad painting. What kind of robots are painting these things! The LT is a pretty nice little machine for the money none the less but I was kind of angry to see the primer showing once again. Very noticible when the machine is clean.

Doesn't seem to solve anything to post it here, but it might if you pass it on to the dealer so it can be passed on to the region rep, and back to Horicon, WI.

Puzzling what you are finding, as when touring the Horicon plant in Dec.'03, the paint line was for parts. Don't recall any parts being assembled first, and then sent through a paint line. Very high tech paint line too. But I could have missed something too. Maybe you are seeing a bad 'touch-up' job wher the 'yellow' (?) primer (?) is slopped over on the green?

I would assume those two bad paint jobs didn't get delivered, but were warranty items.

Nope they both got delivered. On the fender deck of the LT it was poorly painted and all painted as one piece at the factory because the seat rails are welded on. I just wanted to post again in case people did not believe me about the poor painting on the 790 but now it has happened again. I should talk to my boss or call Deere myself so we decent looking equipment for sale.
