I found a set of used pallet forks with quick attach and I am wondering if they will fit on my CX200 loader. I kind of doubt it but i figured I would check to see if I am wrong.

I looked all over the JD site and could not find an answer. They were last on a 4520 which is a larger CUT I think. Anybody know for sure?

rj,

I'm not sure, but I thought I saw on pics that the JD forks had two sets of pins to work with different size loaders.

The QA points are the same for the 200x and 300x series loaders, as well as the older 410,420 and 430 loaders.

The new Frontier forks have 2 sets of lower pins so they can be used on the 200x, 300x and 400x, as well as the older loaders.

Thanks, just to be sure I will get the pin measurement. I knew you all would be able to help

Here is a picture of my Horst forks which has 2 pins on each side. It is mounted on my 300 loader. I have been told the upper pins are for the 200 and 300 series loaders and lower pins are for the larger 400 series loaders.

So, if the 200cx and 300x loaders have the same pins, can I put the snow plow blade from JD on my 200cx?

I seem to remember JD offering a snow plow for the FEL on a 300x... I know they do for the 300cx. But there's no listing for a snow plow for 200cx.

Last fall, I saw a very nice snow blade mounted to the JD pin hitch on a 2305. It was a six foot blade I think, and was painted gray, so I don't think it was a JD blade. It was well built, and didn't stick out there a mile, and it sure was on a 200cx loader. Wish now that I had taken a picture of it. Curtis also makes one for that loader.

The Curtis is very nice and very expensive. I just can't justify the expense... but also figure by the time I find a 6' rusty old blade and pay the fabrication shop to weld up attachments to the loader, I'll be pretty close in price to factory. Well, maybe not quite that expensive, but if I were to resell, a Curtis or JD would be worth a lot more. Thanks.

Here is another really slick, and well executed solution. This install retains the advantages of having some float in a plow blade..... something else to consider...

Yes, it would fit...BUT

I built a blade for my loader a few years ago from a Meyers Poly-Plow, and while it did work, my tractor was just to light. I had trouble steering, and even going straight was a challenge. I just do not think the FEL plows are effective on the small frame CUT's. It also makes the whole unit so long that maneuverability becomes a problem in small spaces.

I have since found an older #380 frame mounted blade that I modified to fit and the difference is like night and day!

Okay, thanks to those that responded to the original question, I really to appreciate your input. But from there I guess with all the curtis talk this thread has been Hijacked.

thanks everyone, wish I had a clear answer.

Can you find a model number? My manual shows the AL1240F and AL1340F Frontier forks (from JD) both work with the 200/300/400/500 series loaders, I don't show a model that only works with the 400 series but not the 200 series.

Here is a shot of my Frontier forks on a 300CX loader--note the extra pin below the one the 300CX uses

Don't have the definitive answer, but based on what I've learned I would say no it wont fit the 200 loader if it's more than a few years old, Horst now makes them more universal with the 2 sets of lower pins to fit a wider selection of loaders, mine are 4 years old and only have the 1 set of lower pins to fit the 200, 300 and not sure about it but think not the 400.

Does any one know what loader came on the 4520 he's referring to???.

Here is a photo of my upper and lower pins measured from the bottom of the top hook on my Horst forks.

Thanks, that is great informaiton, unfortunatly the seller does not have the model number. I have asked him to look at the unit again.

Thanks for the picture. I have the seller measuring the pins width center to center and then I can measure mine and get a good idea if it will fit. I did not realize these came with two sets of pins.

Thanks to all of the others that offered assistance. I am surprised that Deere does not make this easier to find on their website.

If the width of the pins is the same as well as the distance from the pin to the top catch it should fit correct?
