you've got a valid experience there, but your also assuming that your Kuhn dealer was not doubling the price of his parts (which is not uncommon). We have several vendors who have this same practice... buy it elsewhere, paint it, and resell it. I can't think of a single one who charges less than the OEM does. Just this week I helped one of our parts guys on a front snow blower. Vendor #1.. $290, Vendor #2.. $229, OEM.... $170. all the parts where the same and even had the same drawings in the partsbooks. Our markup was the same. Turned out the customer asked for the part from vendor #1 and it was on back order... that started us looking.
Experiences will always vary depending on the practices of your local dealer.
