JD "polyurea" grease improved my bucket loader function---FYI

I have a small JD790 TLB and, while it only has 225 hours on it the bucket slops around on opening and closing and sounds loose when it's not. Normally I use plain old moly or moly-lithium grease. Anyway, I gabbed the wrong grease gun the other day and greased the loader with JD "polyurea" grease. It's much thicker than what I had been using and to my surprise--maybe shock--it took up all the "slop" and all of the noise associated with it. I asked my parts guy and he said it's often the grease of choice among construction people.

So a few days after the fact and after a few hours of gravel use the loader sounds like I just greased it. Tight and with no noise or sloppy sounds. Here's the grease--and all JD greases for that matter.

Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try. I'm a believer in JD grease since my experience with their corn head grease in my Case's drivemotor with a blown seal. It ran cooler than the other side filled with gear oil. I also use it in the gear box of my brush hog.

The bucket fittings is where I noticed the difference. The grease is really thick and seems to stay that way.

Wonder if it penetrates enough to provide adequate long term lubrication?

I don't see why it wouldn't. It's rated for it. If anything, I'll bet its extra tacky nature gives better lubrication. The lube interval is10 hours.

Plus, now that I think about it I'm pretty sure it's the grease of choice mentioned in the loader owner's manual.
