OK I dopied your questions here so I could remember to answer all of them. Here goes;
five bolts but only see three
The other two hold the bracket which relocates the angling cylinder so that it opens and closes the scoop.
Has the product lived up to your expectations?
Yes more than. It has moved literaly tons of dirt and rock not to mention the fir tree rounds it has helped me move that were too big for me to lift into the cart. The way I move dirt is if it is soft dirt like just delivered 5 way I jus tscoop it up and move it where I want it. If it is medium hard the same if it is super hard I will till it first then just scoop it up and put it where I want it.
I like the idea of the "grappler" feature
Like I said pulling tree roots and unwanted shrubs this thing is great. The hydraulic power and weight of the tractor are the limiting factors not the Superior scoop.
Difficulty of installation? The design looks robust with the dual bottom design.
Installation was a breeze. The hardest part was looking for a pry bar to put the tension spring back on the blade.
I'm comparing the blade, blade/Scoop, and the johnny bucket for my X.
Comments?
I almost bought the Johnny Bucket, the grappler action and the way the superior scoop dumps were two of the deciding factors. Also I did not feel comfortable with the hydraulic rams and lines being out board like on the Johnny Bucket when so close to the ground and subject to hitting stuff.
OH and if I were looking at an "X" model the AWS with the 12"+- steering, WOW that would be a sweet combo.
