I love the hubcaps, kind of gives it an "old school" look.
Must be the sunlight but the grill guard is black. The X740 is 2 wheel drive, with 24 hp yanmar diesel engine & drive over deck. These are the options I bought,7 iron deck, brush guard, susp. seat,3 point hitch, front fenders, rim guard(rear tires 88.5 lbs) and chrome wheel covers.coobie

Not the SE edition,I ordered everything seperate. My take on the deck is that it is very HEAVY DUTY.I just sold my kubota Pro 326 ZTR mower that had a very heavy duty deck.IMHO the JD is very comparable.coobieVery Nice Coobie,
is that an SE versionor did you add the seat/fenders/brushguard
individually?
let us know how you like that heavy deck.

Klye, getting ready to retire in the near future,so amount spent time mowing will mean less.We sold our 35 acres and have 11 acres left, little less to mow.My anti-scalp set 1/2 inch below my 7 iron deck.coobieI'm very interested to hear your opinion, after a full year of ownership, about the +'s and -'s of a multi purpose machine compared to a zero turn. More so from a "what did I give up in grass mowing time to get a multi purpose machine"? Does that make sense?
Anyway, congrats! I know it was addressed already, but is there a difference in presetting the anti scalp wheels on the driveover deck? I was told the wheels should only be about a half inch below the bottom rim of the deck and should not be what is used to adjust mowing height.
