JD XUV 850D cab noise reduction kit

I did install the noise reduction kit on my XUV 850 D. Basically the noise kit put the air cleaner outside the cab instead of inside of inside. The first thing I noticed is a lot less dirt is being dumped inside the cab now that the air cleaner is outside. As far as performance, I measured the sound level inside the cab at different speeds but basically moving at 15 mph the cab had a sound level of 108 decibels, after installing the kit the level was reduced to 103 decibels. A noticeable difference but not good enough, with the doors removed the level is reduced to 100 decibels. I haven't tried sound dampening inside or outside the cab yet. I might try and trade the John Deere for a kubota 1100 with 78 decibels at half speed.....ndblackhawk
